MusicianLink Sponsors Silicon Valley Rocks

San Jose, CA – December 9, 2009, - MusicianLink, Inc., a pioneer in real-time music collaboration and Internet acoustics announced today its sponsorship of Silicon Valley Rocks, which bring together the Valle's tech community — from VCs and entrepreneurs to bloggers and software developers — to raise money for Music in Schools Today (MuST). The event will be held at the famous Great American Music Hall, home to indie music gigs and hall of famers such the Grateful Dead, Duke Ellington, Modest Mouse, and Van Morrison.

"Silicon Valley Rocks is a great way for us to give back to the music community," said David Willyard, Co-Founder and CEO of MusicianLink. "We believe that music plays a vital part of a child's education."

All proceeds for Silicon Valley Rocks! will be donated to Music in Schools Today (MuST). MuST is the Bay Area's answer to the crisis in music education. Despite extensive research indicating that music instruction supplies intellectual, emotional and physical components critical to children's development, music and arts programs are often the first victims of budget cuts. MuST advocates for, supports and develops integrated, accessible, sustainable and measurable music-in-education programs that improve student achievement.
